Hi, I'm Rex!

AMFT #159413

Rex H. brings more than 30 years of experience in public service, crisis response, and financial management to his role as Chief Financial Officer at Bold within. His diverse professional background—including 24 years in law enforcement and extensive experience in financial advising, tax strategy, and mortgage loan origination—gives him a unique perspective on the intersection between financial stability and emotional well-being.

Rex began his career in Gowanda, New York, serving as a police officer during the closure of the Gowanda Psychiatric Center. His early exposure to individuals in crisis inspired him to train fellow officers on compassionate, trauma-informed responses to mental health–related calls—an experience that later shaped his transition into the field of mental health therapy.

Over the years, Rex has served in numerous leadership and advisory roles, including as a Parole Agent in South Carolina and as a member of the Advisory Board for the Pee Dee Regional Council on Domestic Violence. He holds a master’s in public administration with a focus on Government Management from Troy University and a
Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts Global.

At Bold within, Rex combines his financial expertise and clinical insight to strengthen operational systems, ensure fiscal sustainability, and promote accessible, high-quality mental health care. His holistic approach integrates leadership, trauma-informed practice, and strategic planning to help clients and clinicians alike build stability, resilience, and growth.
