Darin Rorrer

With more than two decades of experience in behavioral health, I specialize in treating complex and severe mental health and substance use disorders through a compassionate, evidence-based, and experiential approach. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Addiction Specialist (CADC-CAS), and an experienced clinician, supervisor, and program director who has led clinical teams across hospitals, residential programs, crisis settings, and community mental health agencies.

 

My clinical work integrates traditional psychotherapy with experiential modalities, including Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Surf Therapy—two powerful interventions that help clients access emotional insight, regulate the nervous system, build resilience, and develop a deeper sense of connection with themselves and the world around them. Whether working with individuals, adolescents, families, or groups, I use hands-on, movement-based therapies to support clients in understanding their emotional patterns, healing trauma, reducing anxiety, and enhancing self-awareness.

 

Throughout my career, I have directed large-scale treatment programs serving diverse populations with persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders, trauma histories, and acute behavioral health needs. I have extensive experience developing clinical teams, implementing best-practice treatment models, securing regulatory compliance, and ensuring quality care across multiple behavioral health facilities.
