Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)
It is a powerful, experiential form of therapy that uses ground-based interactions with horses to help clients gain insight, build emotional regulation skills, and strengthen mind–body awareness.
Horses naturally respond to human emotion and energy, offering immediate feedback that supports deeper self-reflection and growth.
In this modality, clients learn to identify patterns in their emotional responses, explore relational dynamics, develop healthier coping strategies, and practice grounded presence in a calm, outdoor setting. Equine therapy is especially supportive for individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, behavioral challenges, and relational difficulties.
Equine therapy can help with:
- Emotional regulation and stress reduction
- Trauma recovery and nervous system stabilization
- Building trust, confidence, and boundaries
- Increasing self-awareness and insight
- Improving communication and relational skills
- Processing grief, anxiety, and complex emotions
All sessions are facilitated by a licensed clinician trained in EAGALA standards, ensuring a safe, structured, and clinically informed experience.
